Up to 1,79,090 people visited the Independence Day flower show organized in the Botanical Garden of Lalbagg on Friday and brought 85 ₹ Lakh revenues to the horticultural department.
The flower show was organized around the theme “Veera Rani Kittur Chennamma and Krantivira Sangolli Rayann”. It started on August 7 and will be closed on August 17th.
Since his inauguration, the show had the highest participation on the occasion of Independence Day. A total of 1,45 adults, 13,720 children and 19,650 school students visited on Friday, said M. Jagadeesh, common director, parks and gardens, gardening department.
The main attractions were floral replicas of Kittur fortress, Chennamma and Rayanna statues and other Kittur Kingdom monuments.
