Kozhikode Corporation plans 16 street sales zones throughout the city to rehabilitate a licensed street seller in the city. The sales zones are aligned in such a way that they do not disturb the smooth flow of operation or block pedestrians. The Permanent Committee on Planning of Spatial Planning and the Permanent Social Security Committee also began to identify limited commercial zones and non -commercial zones in the city in the next two months.
Meanwhile, the company identified 2,812 street sellers in its survey, of which 1,952 participated in camps organized in connection with the project of the street zone. Minister for Local Municipalities MB Rajesh launched on Saturday, April 19, distribution of ID cards to these vendors.
16 sales zones can hold 795 street sellers. The proposed sales zones are to come to the beach Kozhikode opposite the corporation office (90 retailers), PM Taj Road (100), Lic Corner to Comtrust (10), before CSI cathedral (15), carikkamkulam-thadambatthazham (15), Road Mofusil (60), near Mfusin Road), near Mfusin Road), near near Mfusin-Thadamttazham Road (60), near Mfusin-Thadamttazham. Palayam UnderSpass (120), opposite Misnparamba Masjid on Beach (40), Medical College-Karanthur Road (120), Medical College-Velliparamba Road (50), near Matemottam overpass (100), Cheroot Road Road (30).
