Venkates Iyer, the most expensive player Kalkata Knight Riders from the Indian Mega Auction Premier League, was strongly trolled by fans after his shifts against Gujarat Titans on Monday, April 21. He chased the target 199 in Eden Gardens, only 14 runs out of 19 balls to avoid any moment to be a ckr.
The fans were critical of the Iyer’s inability to earn on favorable matches, especially against R Sai Kishhore, the pitch, which was expected to focus. During his shifts, Iyer seemed preliminary and tried to find a rhythm – the approach that many felt effectively sealed the match in favor of Gujarat.

At the time of mega auction, Iyer was purchased for an incredible RS of 23.75 Crore with the belief that the side of the ckr could eventually lead. He was also appointed representative of Captain Ajinkya Rahane, a seasoned veteran IPL.
During his stay of 19-mocks, Iyer failed to hit one limit, to put pressure on Rahane, who detonated at the other end. His slow shifts also delayed the entry of explosive hitters such as Andre Russell, Rink Singh and Ramandeep Singh – finally contributed to the defeat of KKR.
Social media fans were ruthless in their criticism and questioned the franchise decisions to spend such a high amount of Iyera due to its performance.
KRK scored a total of 159 runs for losing 8 goals, while chasing 199. Angkrish Raghuvanki provided some late fireworks for KKR, recorded 27* of 13 balls. GT won accessories about 39 runs and strengthened its place at the top of the league table.
