How fast does the night change? Just two days after posting one of the highest totals in the history of the Indian Premier League, Delhi Capitals endured a horror show with the bat and were reduced to 13 for 6 in the power play.
Playing against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, DC’s batting order was blown away by veterans Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, losing 6 wickets in just 13 runs during the power play.

Delhi’s horror show with the bat came just hours after co-owner Parth Jindal gave his team confidence ahead of the game against RCB. Jindal tried to lift the spirits of the DC camp after their heavy loss against Punjab Kings in the previous game.
“Time to fire @DelhiCapitals, we all know how good this team is – time to be together, time to play together and time to bring our best cricket to the @IPL – this is where our season really begins,” Jindal said.
The match against defending champions RCB was crucial for Delhi. With just three wins in seven games, DC are out of the top four and need a quick boost to stay in the playoffs. Their loss to Punjab highlighted the recurring problems. Despite posting one of the highest totals of the season, they conceded 265, raising serious concerns about their bowling and catching standards.
