Thirteen people, all women and children, died and 11 were injured in a collision between a trailer truck and a truck in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, the police said.
In a road accident, four children and nine women died late on Sunday (May 11, 2025) Night near Saragaon on Raipur-Balodabazar Road in the Raipur district.
Police officials said that the family from the village of Chataud went to the village of Bansari to participate in the family office. During the return, the truck in which they traveled was knocked down by a trailer near Saragaon under the Kharora police station.
After obtaining information about the accident, the police team was sent to the site and the injuries were taken to the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Raipur.
The collector of the district district of Raipur Gaurav Singh said that the officials of the district administration reached the spot. Thirteen people died and 11 people were injured in the accident, he said.
The police registered the case and the matter is investigated, said the collector.
