Twelve members of the Tamil Nadu Highways Salai Panialar Sangam were arrested after expressing their opposition and reportedly did not cooperate to eliminate the symptom of their association installed near TVS Tollgate on Monday.
The state highway department has removed symptoms of different parties and organizations installed on the road.
The officials arrived in the morning to remove the flagship of the Tamil motorway department of the Salai Panialar Sangam installed in front of the state office when some of the Sangam members opposed removal and entered the argument. Police staff conducted with them interviews. Twelve of them were arrested and then removed. Those who took place were later released in the evening, police sources said.
