The formal launch of the distribution of free copies of Hindu at school, initiative supported by the Manappuram Foundation, took place on Tuesday in their Valappad office. As part of the Social Responsibility of the Foundation (CSR), the project was officially launched by George de Das, CEO of the Foundation.
The aim of the project is to encourage students to strengthen their skills in English and have better prepared to face the challenges of the future. In addition to the Hindus at the school, the participating schools will also receive copies of the Hindu Youngworld and the Hindu boulevard in the school weekend and offer a well -rounded reading experience.
On this occasion, Mr. Das emphasized the importance of reading newspapers and emphasized how he enriches students – especially at a time when education and class textbooks were not sufficient. He noted that such activities played a crucial role in supporting more holistic learning.
Suresh Kumar Pillai, CEO of the Hindu Group of Publications, enlightened participants on how to read newspapers and took them through a wide range of content of each of these specially curatorial publications for students.
Silpa Tresa Sebastian, Head of the CSR in Manappuram Foundation, also emphasized the importance of reading newspapers, emphasized its role in expanding perspectives, strengthening critical thinking and maintaining students well informed about the world around them.
The office was attended by directors, teachers and representatives of school students who benefit from the project.
