The India Photo Festival (IPF) is set to return to Hyderabad for its 11th year, with the State Art Gallery in Madhapur hosting the event from November 20 to January 4. The festival is organized by the Light Craft Foundation with the support of Telangana Government and Tourism Department.
This year’s edition offers solo exhibitions, group shows, artist discussions, workshops and screenings of documentary films. The curatorial selection explores pressing global issues, intimate human experiences and experimental artistic practice.
The 2025 lineup includes photographers from Brazil, Iran, South Korea, and India, among several other countries. According to the release, the global open call received 820 entries from 50 countries, with finalists selected through an anonymous selection process. The panel of judges included renowned photojournalist Nicole Tung of VII Photo, Gurinder Osan, photo editor at the Press Trust of India, Sukruti Anah Stanley, creative director of The Caravan, and photographer and curator Madhavan Pillai.
