110 people were elected to the Nair Service Society’s Board of Delegates

The Nair Service Society (NSS) on Thursday elected 110 non-opposites to its prathinidhi sabha (council of delegates).

According to the organization, a total of 118 seats became vacant this year within the 300-member council. While 110 members were elected unopposed, the remaining eight seats will be filled by ballot. According to the statutes of the NSS, a third of the members of the Council of Delegates are released each year.

NSS president M. Sasikumar, general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair, secretary Harikumar Koyikkal and vice-president M. Sangeeth Kumar were also elected on Thursday. The election of the remaining eight members from Kollam, Ambalappuzha and Mukundapuram taluk unions is scheduled to be held on March 1 from 10 am to 1 pm in their respective taluk unions. The election for them will take place by secret ballot under the supervision of NSS election officials.
