An 11-year-old girl was electrocuted when she accidentally came in contact with a live wire during a religious function at Kodimial mandal in Jagtial district late on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Madhusri, daughter of Nagaraj and Mamatha of Kodimial town. According to sources, Madhusri was participating in the annual Brahmotsavam celebration at the Venkateshwara Swamy temple when the incident took place.
Her parents were left devastated after her tragic death soon after she took part in the traditional ‘Kolatam’ dance during a religious procession. A case has been registered at Kodimial police station and further investigation is underway.
