Water levels at 11 monitoring stations throughout India violated the warning level, but none of them reached the danger or extreme threshold of the floods, said the Central Commission for Water (CWC) on Wednesday (July 2, 2025).
This alert is part of the daily flood bulletin of the commission released by central flood control.
The bulletin suggests that there are currently no places in the categories of “serious” or “extreme” flood situations, which means that no location has reached or overcome its danger or the highest historical flood level.
However, 12 seats in Assam, Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh were marked for “above normal” flood situations where water levels crossed the warning threshold but remain below danger.
In Assam, the Kushiyara river in Karimganji and Brahmaputra in Neamamighat in Jorhat is among those who are approaching the levels of fear.
Bihar remains under observation, with elevated water levels in Kosa in Baltar, Bagmati in Benibad and Gandak in DumariaGhat.
Uttar Pradesh carefully follows four places, including the Ganges on the Fatehgarh and Kachhla bridge, Ghagra in Elginbridge and Gandak in Khadda, which touched 95 meters warning.
Odisha reported above the normal levels at Mathani Road Bridge and Rajghat to Subarnarekha, both in the Baleshwar district.
In Tamil Nadu, the water level in Musiri on the Cauverry River also crossed the warning level.
Regarding the tide of the reservoir and bars, CWC has released a tide forecast for 23 seats in 10 countries, including Andr Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Most Karnataka’s main reservoirs, including Almatti, Narayanapore and Tungabhadra, are experiencing growing or stable trends with high -inflow volumes.
The Rengal reservoir in Odisha and Durgapur Barrage in West Bengal also witnessed a significant tide and increased the warning of the potential impacts of downstream.
Despite the active monsoon CWC conditions, it confirmed that none of the river stations has reached or exceed their previous highest level of the flood.
