Maheshwaram Zone Special Operations Team (SOT) and Kandukur police seized 11 kg of hashish oil worth around ₹ 1.50 million and arrested three persons who were allegedly transporting the contraband to Hyderabad from Lambasingi.

The accused have been identified as Morupoju Ravi Varma, 27, Jarpula Lokesh, 26, and Syed Sohail Hussain, 27. The Maruti Swift car they were traveling in was seized by the police during a vehicle check on Friday morning near Navaru Balreddy Function Hall on Srisailam Highway.

Police said the three were traveling towards Hyderabad via Lambasingi, Khammam, Miryalaguda, Devarakonda, Kalwakurthy and Kandukur. During the search, 11 transparent packages containing a black-colored substance suspected to be hashish oil were found. The trio allegedly brought the contraband to Hyderabad for sale to consumers at the Secunderabad railway station. Police said they traveled through several internal routes and avoided major routes in an attempt to avoid scrutiny.
