
In connection with the murder of a 32 -year -old Karaikal political official, 11 individuals surrendered in the districts of Mayiladuthurai and Villupuram and were then arrested.
The case concerns the brutal killing of H. Manimarana, a member of Tamilaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi, who was sucked in July 4 in daylight. Police suspicion that the murder was a retaliation for an earlier murder associated with land dispute.
Manimaran, a native of Thirunallar in Karaikan, was the main accusation of the Murder of Deivamani, the district secretary pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and his relatives. Deivamans were killed on October 22, 2021, for a long -term dispute. The Manimaran, who has since secured the bail, continued to be politically active and held a key position in the party.
According to the police, Manimaran returned to Karaikan from Mayiladuthurai after attending the party’s membership unit on 4 July. When his car reached a private college in Kalakasthinathapurama, at the Sembanarkoil police limits, he was captured by a gang in two cars. The attackers broke his car and attacked Srchy. Manimaran suffered a head injury and died in place. The attackers fled immediately after the attack.
After the incident, Mayiladuthurai was created by the police director G. Stalin five special teams to explore the murder. The preliminary investigation, including the analysis of CCTV shots, proposed the motif of revenge associated with earlier murder deivamans.
On Sunday, four individuals – Prabhakaran, 29, Son Deivamans, and his collaborators Gunasecaran (23 years), Veeramani, 45 years, and driver Murugan, 23 years, all inhabitants of Thirnallar – in Mayiladuthurai in Mayiladuthurai. Reportedly they confessed to involvement in the attack. Subsequently, they were taken into custody by an investigation team led by the Karunakaran inspector from Sembanarkoil. Police sources said that one car was suspicious, that it was used in the attack, was confiscated from the group.
Meanwhile, in the district of Villupupuram at the Valavanur police station, seven other individuals surrendered. Police Villupuram handed over to their counterparts Mayiladuuthurai, who are now investigating their role in the conspiracy and execution of murder.
