
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced the results of the second phase of the lottery for free entries under Section 12(1)(a). C) of the Act on the right of children to free and compulsory education for the academic year 2026-2027.
State Samagra Shiksha Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao said in a statement issued on Tuesday (May 5, 2026) that a total of 10,453 seats have been allotted to students from economically weaker sections of private schools in this phase. He said 54,647 students applied across the state, of which 54,016 were found eligible. In the first phase, places were allocated for 30,075 students within a radius of 1 km from the schools. The second phase included students living within a radius of 1–5 km.
