Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesperson HA Venkatesh said the Indian National Congress government in Karnataka has effectively responded to public concerns and won the trust of the people as it marks 1,000 days in office.
In a statement, Mr. Venkatesh said the government has addressed the challenges faced by the common people through welfare-oriented administration. He claimed that voters chose the Congress after being disillusioned with the previous BJP government and that the current government was emphasizing inclusive development and social welfare.
Highlighting major welfare initiatives, the spokesperson said the government’s guarantee schemes have provided relief to the economically weaker sections. He cited schemes like the Shakti scheme, which offers free bus travel for women, along with the Gruha Lakshmi, Yuva Nidhi, Gruha Jyothi and Anna Bhagya schemes aimed at supporting households across the state.
Mr Venkatesh also argued that critics who had earlier opposed the guarantee schemes were now taking similar measures in other states, adding that the government was planning to introduce more people-centred schemes.
He also stated that the law and order situation in Karnataka remains stable.
