Widows and women who have been abandoned will soon be able to apply for a state government of 50,000 GBP to stand on their own feet.

In an interview with Hindus, the chairman of TGSMFC Obeidullah Kotwal said that the Indira Mahila Yojana system offers each woman 50,000 GBP, which is 100% subsidized. The recipients are widows, divorced women or those who are free and poor, including those whose spouses have left them.
The purpose of this step is to make such a recipient financially independent. Applicants are obliged to submit their AADHAAR cards, food security or rations if possible or documents related to their divorce or khula.

Officials stated that this initiative is aimed at enabling recipients receiving income generating and improving their livelihood resources.
“We assign to this system for widows of 25 crore. We intend to have 5,000 recipients in the first phase,” Opeidullah said. For the two -wheel scheme, the government allocates CRORE 5 GBP to help 500 recipients.
