Various posts and videos in social media claim that Chinese companies sell cheaper products – including brands like Lululemon, Fila and Under Armor – ridiculously for us customers during the ongoing trade war.
One user wrote that their source is suddenly flooded with Chinese manufacturers trying to sell products directly to American consumers. The user pointed out that even after the addition of import tariffs and transport costs, prices remain significantly lower than the prices of similar products sold by US companies.
“We won’t win this trade war, Lmao,” the user joked.
In the next video, the Tiktok influencer claimed that some of Lululemon’s yoga is produced by suppliers based in China Xianglong.
According to the influencer, factories like Xianglong clothing and Hung Oisun’s garment, which are found in Yiwu, they produce clothes for Lululemon and popular brands such as Fila and Under Armor.
Influencer pointed out that large brands like Lululemon sell a few leggings for up to $ 100. However, the same products from these factories can cost only $ 5 to $ 6.
According to Reuters, Chinese companies are planning to increase prices for US customers or leave the US market on Amazon. This comes after former US President Donald Trump announced a great increase in tariffs to Chinese goods.
Trump said tariffs would increase from 104 % to 125 percent. This step increased the tension between China and the US, the two largest economies in the world.
American customers react
Meanwhile, American customers shared it.
“We can buy machines for sowing. The difference is that we automate. We can live without Tem and Shien. The quality will be better,” wrote Twitter (now x).
“I don’t think someone sometimes has the impression that large brands do not produce 70% margin or higher. You pay for the comfort and recognition of the brand. Providing a direct line will certainly affect everything that all depends on whether they are able to sell correctly (SIC).”
One user commented: “If you don’t build your own clothing brand in the middle of this unrest, you even agree?”
“It seems that with China, which does not give an AF ** KO counterfeits, or just a straight source of the American company will be Fu ** ED (sic),” the other user said.
