Of the 99 foreigners denied entrances were 80 of Bangladesh, 10 from India and 9 from Pakistan. They were all men, the authorities said.
“Failed to meet immigration checks”
In his statement, AKPS confirmed: “They were denied because they did not fulfill immigration checks, including suspicious reasons for visits and travel records.” The agency added that those who refused to enter were carried out by further documentation procedures before deportation to their home countries according to legal protocols.
The checks included screening of the background, investigating travel documents and individual interviews. AKPS said that such operations would be performed regularly to “reduce the abuse of the passage of social visit and prevent trading in people”.
The incident comes shortly after Malaysia has expanded its free entry system for Indian citizens up to 31 December 2026. In politics, Indian tourists can remain in the country for up to 30 days without a visa. The Malaysian government hopes that the requirements for relaxation will help increase tourism and support economic growth.
