
On Thursday, the Cabinet decided to rent 10 acres of land to the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-the national institutional science and technology institute (Niist) for 90 years without any financial obligation.
CSIR-NIIST approved the establishment of the Center for Innovation, Technology and Business on BIO 360 Life Science Park Phank II II Kerala Life Science Industries Park (Klip) in Thonnankal in Thiruvananthapuram with investment 215 Crore.
The cabinet granted a permit to continue 688 temporary functions in various offices operating under the Land Board control within the revenue department for the next year.
The cabinet also decided to revise the monthly salary of special prosecutors from 60,000 to 70,000 GBP from 1 January 2025.
