The state government has received a huge response to its call for 5,000 licensed inspectors’ positions, covered by more than 10,031 candidates. The Minister of Income Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that selected candidates will take two months of training at the Academy of Reconciliation (Tellangana Academy of Land Information and Management, Talim) in Gachibowli, starting on May 26.
On Monday, which concerned the inspection meeting on Monday, he said that the appointment of licensed inspectors will address the issues of unemployment in rural areas while improving land management. “The aim of this initiative is to improve land management and provide permanent resolution of disputes over landing by creating precise records of land,” he added. The Minister also mentioned that the government would start to digitize villages through Telangana Remote Sensing Application Center (TGRAC). The pilot project will be launched in three villages – Lingala in the Nagarnoool district, takkalapalli in Jagtial District and Peddacorukoni in the Khammam district – within two to three days.
The digitization process will allow easy access to accurate information about land, increase the transparency of government services and accelerate the mutation process. Digital maps provide detailed information about the size and shape of the soil and can be safely updated and saved, added the minister.
