
Since January 2025, nearly 1,100 Indians have been deported or deported from the United States, said the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) on Thursday.

India in contact with Iran for three missing people: mea
India is in contact with the Iranian authorities for locating three Indian nationals who have disappeared in Iran and receives good cooperation from the Iranian side, a spokesman MEA said in a press briefing.
Jaiswal said that the ministry expands all possible assistance to family members of three missing persons.
Asked about three Indians who have disappeared in Iran, and whether the Indian government realizes that such incidents have been taking place over the past few months and people have received ransom calls from Pakistan, “You would see the statement of our embassy in Iran.”
“Three Indian nationals who landed there for some time are missing and we are in contact with the Iranian authorities to find them for their safety and security and any return home,” he said.
Jaiswal revealed that Indian officials are in contact with their Iranian counterparts on missing people.
“We are in daily contact with the authorities. We get good cooperation from the Iranian side. And we are also in contact with families. It is clear that family members in such situations have their own anxiety, etc. So we extend all possible help. Hopefully we will be able to do the best in this situation.”
