₹740 crore released to the Ministry of Health

The government has released ₹740 crore to the health department to provide free and quality health services to the rural population, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said.

With this allocation, the government will undertake the construction of 1,569 new health sub-centres in the rural areas of the state, thereby strengthening the medical infrastructure at the local level.

In addition, free diagnostic services will be made available locally so that rural residents will not have to travel to cities for basic medical tests, the statement said.

By enabling early detection of diseases at the primary health care level and ensuring timely treatment, the government aims to significantly reduce the financial burden of medical expenses for poor and middle-class families.
