The state government has sanctioned ₹1.55 crore as ex-gratia to the families of 31 Gulf migrant workers from Jagtial region who died while working in the Gulf countries, NRI Advisory Committee Vice-Chairman Mandha Bheem Reddy said.
He said in a statement that as many as 50 families in the district have already received Gulf ex-gratia of ₹5,000 each, amounting to ₹2.5 million, till March 31 this year.
So far, 165 families of deceased Gulf workers across the state have benefited.
