Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who presided over the 18th meeting of the board at the State Secretariat in Amaravati on Thursday, said the benefits of the accelerating industrial growth of the state should reach the poor and middle-class families, stressing that industrialization must create opportunities not only for big corporations but also for ordinary citizens and budding entrepreneurs.

Mr. Naidu said Andhra Pradesh must build an industrial ecosystem that creates jobs while enabling common people to start businesses and participate in economic growth. He called for more support for start-ups and directed officials to ensure that businesses incubated through the Real Time Innovation Hub (RTIH) receive adequate support in attracting venture capital investment. “The state is witnessing massive industrial development. The fruits of this growth must reach the poor and middle-class families. We need an ecosystem where industrial opportunities are available to all sections of society,” he said.

The chief minister also asked the education department to align the academic curriculum with emerging industrial requirements, including advanced technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence and automation.

“No place for frivolous investors”

Emphasizing the need to identify future industrial trends and prepare a skilled workforce to meet the upcoming demands, he made it clear that Andhra Pradesh would not cater to unscrupulous investors. “Officials must closely monitor the approved projects and ensure that companies start working immediately after obtaining the permits,” he added.

Highlighting efforts to align ITIs and polytechnics with local industrial requirements, Information Technology and Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh announced the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Rare Earth Minerals Research at Andhra University. Based on his recent visit to Russia, he noted the existence of a dedicated quantum technology ecosystem there and suggested that Andhra Pradesh could adopt similar models.
